Your field of responsibility

As a part of role, your responsibility includes:

  • Governance and advisory to the divisional finance teams on their ESA topics
  • Group-wide support for major Economic Sharing Agreements, i.e. assisting with the creation, review and termination of these contracts between the divisions/legal entities of Credit Suisse
  • Maintaining the ESA inventory data and ensuring that this is up to date by following up regularly with stakeholders and proactively updating the data as required
  • Change management of the ESA SharePoint tool, i.e. interacting with IT support to manage bug fixes and new changes
  • Preparation of ESA data needed for management reporting
  • Reengineer and optimize processes to boost efficiency and improve controls. Performance of monthly/quarterly/annual processes controls around ESAs
  • Supporting regular management reporting on ESAs

As part of Group Finance, Group Collaboration Governance (GCG) manages financial governance processes to provide transparency, control and consistency for collaboration revenue governance and reporting including ownership of the Groupwide Economic Share Agreement (ESA) inventory, framework, and related processes. The purpose of ESAs is to enhance collaboration within CS and grow our client franchise, which is achieved when the economics are shared by divisions/legal entities on a fair and equitable basis. As an example, referrals of clients from one business to another could lead to a sharing of revenues between the two business areas which require a formal arrangement. GCG assists with the creation of such an arrangement and advises the divisional teams on various aspects of the governance. GCG would also regularly interact with teams in transfer pricing, general counsel, etc.

Your skills and experience

The following skills and experience are essential for the role or very desirable:

  • Education and Professional Qualification:
  • Accounting or Finance background
  • Preferred CA or CIMA or ICWA or MBA in finance

Work Experience

  • Proven 6 to 7+ years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Or Financial Services / KPO / Big 4 audit firms

Technical / Soft Skills

  • Outstanding communication skills (oral and written)
  • Expert Knowledge of general ledger processes, PeopleSoft, etc
  • Strong analytical skills as well as excellent presentation skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • ability to prioritize work, with a strong attention to detail and deliver the highest degree of quality
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power point, preferably some knowledge of VBA
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and the capability to build up trusting, long-term relationships
  • Being a strong team player
