Job Description 

Your field of responsibility

Join us as Operational Risk End to End Controller in the CFO Risk and Control team to partner with multiple functions across the bank including Group Finance, Product Control and Front Office. In this role you will be developing controls end to end visualization across the entire SOX 404 remit and CFO. You shall also be SME of the SOX 404 End to End program. Liaise closely with Business areas to bridge any control gaps. Proactively identify any potential gaps in end-to-end process and control design and recommend remediation action.

  • Obtaining a complete understanding of the SOX 404 controls cycle and the SOX 404 controls framework
  • Developing and/or reviewing SOX 404 end to end process & control flows, assess risk and control design and work with line to implement control recommendations
  • Acting as SOX 404 intermediary – working with front office, to develop and scope preventative 1LoD controls
  • Perform a variety of SOX 404 and CFO Risk and Control end to end deep dives assessing the control design
  • Actively and timely raise operational issues or points of confusion related to the SOX 404 control requirements / cycle for discussion and resolution
  • Assisting Stakeholders during their Beginning of the Year sign off process
  • Actively work with EtE management on various Innovation projects aimed at implementing an End-to-End Framework for SOX 404, which includes participating in working groups, review and analyze data, provide feedback on requirements, and ultimately work with the line to implement
  • Ensure timely delivery of assigned projects and tasks, resolve problems as they occur and raise to manager if required
  • The role demands direct interaction with various teams (Directors/MDs), high accountability and ownership, strength to drive the project and strong people/partner management skills

Your skills and experience

We are looking for candidates with following background / experiences and skills:

  • Degree in accounting and/or finance is essential
  • 6 – 8 years of experience in audit/risk & control/Finance function
  • Proven background and understanding of banking controls and financial services industry preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience with data analytics and visualization tools e.g., SQL/VBA/Python, R, Qlik, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. would be a plus
  • Attitude to review and challenge, plus drive progress in working with groups with differing priorities
  • Collaborative and an outstanding partner to colleagues across a broad set of peers and as part of a wider distributed team
  • Proven ability to liaise with all levels including senior management
  • Result oriented, dedicated, hardworking who can work on own initiative and can deliver on time under pressure
