Division Description

The Finance & Accounting Division is made up of a number of core finance teams both at business unit and Group level. We perform a key management and control function in ensuring all Group financial and management reporting processes are appropriately governed. The Finance Division has overall responsibility for driving the Group budgeting and forecasting process, developing Group-focused financial insight and analysis and delivering the Groups statutory, regulatory and external reporting. We do this through collaborative business partnering in each of the Divisions and with centralised Finance shared / specialist services.

Description of business unit

Internal Reporting, which is part of the Group Performance Reporting function, Group Finance, is responsible for the delivery of timely accurate management information to a large and varied audience across the group.

This role is within the MI Delivery team and offers an ideal opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of MI reporting while building and maintaining strong working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders across the Group.

As part of this team you will have the ability to analyse and summarise data outputs to enable and enhance the decision process for line managers and to provide an effective and efficient support service.

Purpose of the Role

The role sits in the MI Delivery team and its key purpose is the production of scheduled and ad hoc reporting to support decision making and drive Group performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Production & delivery of ad-hoc scheduled reporting in a timely manner and to the highest standards of accuracy.
  • Build & maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders and customers by consistently delivering a professional service on a daily basis.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of continuous process improvements to improve the delivery and accuracy of reporting
  • Demonstrate understanding of adherence to all escalation; compliance processes & data protection acts
  • Cross train within the MI Delivery function to facilitate continuity of service to all customers.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to manage relationships across a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent PC skills with an emphasis in MS Excel & Access applications and knowledge of relational databases.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an ability to manage a range of activities and outputs concurrently.
  • Detail orientated with a diligent focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment or work independently on own initiative.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Experience with using pivot tables and excel formulas a plus
  • Experience with Brio and Visual Basic applications.
  • Enthusiastic, with a drive for change and efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
