About the role
Head of Finance in the Sublots with a significant role to play in building robust and timely financial documents in accordance with the BBV procedures and report them to Sublots directors and BBV Finance Department.
What you'll be doing
  • Delivers effective and efficient Financial Controls and Reporting in accordance with the BBV procedures to prevent disallowed cost
  • Ensures overall control and review of financial information in terms of results, forecasts and cash flows
  • Prepares and maintains financial records and reports on a monthly basis, including Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Accounts with specific follow up (general ledger, accounts payable, accruals, accounts receivable, payroll, inventories, assets register, etc.)
  • Manages accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis
  • Prepares forecast in coordination with the commercial team
  • Supports Commercial Department to produce the Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) Report (provide Actuals) and reports in Finance Systems.
  • Supports BBV JV Finance Department for payments runs, bank reconciliation, & VAT returns
  • Manages site support activities in coordination with the Site Support Manager to include weekly reporting and assistance with payroll queries, & project staff timesheets
  • Accurate costing and control of project expenditure, reflected in the timely production of monthly project cost reports
Who we're looking for
  • Qualified accountant with 10 years PQE would be desired but not essential
  • Self-starter, energetic and dedicated, with a track record of promotion in the organisations that they have worked in
  • Experience of both building and leading high performing teams, with a willingness to embrace and drive best practice
  • Adaptable with strong communication skills and an ability to liaise with members at all levels of the organisation
  • Independent and objective, but commercially astute
  • Relevant experience gained within a contracting/projects environment is preferable but not essential
  • The role may require some travel, but will be predominantly based in site offices

  • 42 viaducts totaling over 11km, 66 over-bridges;
  • More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km;
  • 56 culverts and other under-bridges;
  • 66 embankments reaching over 33km;
  • Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures and six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and over-bridge structures.
