For our office in Madrid, we are currently looking for an ACCOUNTING & TAX COMPLIANCE OFFICER. We offer a dynamic and international corporate atmosphere as well as the benefit of customized training adapted to your needs throughout your career.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

As an OFFICER you will be a vital member of the Accounting and Tax Compliance team, supporting the Accounting and Tax Compliance Manager with various day to day tasks such as:
  • Assisting in identifying and anticipating possible problem areas, and therefore assist in the creation of suitable solutions for clients;
  • Assisting clients in implementation and administration of holding companies, financing and intellectual property companies, and real estate companies;
  • Handling the day-to-day operations of companies and responding to clients’ requests;
  • Keeping company books and preparing periodic reports;
  • Preparing statutory financial statements and maintaining contact with auditors when applicable;
  • Managing clients on corporate side;
  • Preparing corporate and VAT returns and maintaining relevant contact with the Spanish tax authorities and tax advisers;
  • Taking part in developing restructuring plans or other transactions in compliance with recommendations of the local regulatory body, including spin – offs, mergers and acquisitions;
  • Assisting with the organization of board meetings and shareholders meetings.

YOUR PROFILE

  • You hold a university degree in Economics, ADE or International Business Economics;
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant working experience in the fields of accounting and tax;
  • You are fluent in English and Spanish;
  • You have strong management and relationship skills;
  • You possess team spirit, the capacity to build strong client relationships, and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
