About the Department

The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.

Job Responsibilities

Stakeholder Relationship Management
o Support Biz T&O Head (Customer Assisted Channels) for projects in pipeline, pre-project planning activities and prioritization of Quarterly Release system enhancements.
o Be a trusted advisor for Group Channels & Digitalisation (GCD) for all new business demands requiring technology or operations enablement/solution and able to co-create Business roadmaps with GCD.
o Support business on strategies for Customer Assisted Channels such as Branches, Self-Serve Machines by building relationships with GCD, Technology and Operations teams

Requirement Analysis, Elicitation & High-Level Solution
o Collaborate with business product owner/specialist to ensure all aspects of the business requirements are defined and analysed.
o Analyse & document "to be" processes based on agreed requirements and/or function points.
o Analyse & define detailed functional & non-functional requirements based on requirements
o Perform impact assessment, develop high level solution and estimation in consultation with architects, technology and operation teams to illustrate feasibility of achieving desired business outcomes
o Monitor and manage risks /issues related to requirements and scope creep.

Change Implementation Planning and Management
o Undertake scoping and evaluation of new initiatives. Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, costs, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation to business.
o Lead and collaborate with cross-functional and technical teams including system analysts, solution architects, technology development teams, and testing teams in defining/clarifying/finalizing requirements.
o Work effectively with technology & operation teams on the smooth delivery of the solution.
o Review & transition functional specifications document with system analysts, test strategy, support User Acceptance Test with test managers and other relevant stakeholders
o Ensure the alignment on how new operation & technical capabilities will be delivered to users with respect to business perspective.
o Work with Test Manager to translate business requirements into test scenarios
o Facilitate / provide "Train the Trainer" on application enhancements
o Maintain up-to-date knowledge base related to application features and processes (subject matter expertise)
o Identify potential risks, assess the risk implication and propose risk mitigation strategies.

"Run' the bank and Risk Management
o Manage the communication and regular updates with GCD stakeholders on 'critical' production incidents and problems impacting customers and branch operations.
o Lead the regular review with GCD on system stability, responsiveness, production incident, problem tickets including identification of root cause and preventive measures.
o Monitoring the fulfilment of service levels between GTO and GCD and highlighting required actions to close gaps where necessary.
o Lead and manage the review of GCD applications/systems with technology teams to propose risk mitigation actions and/or plans prior to business engagement.

Job Requirements

  • Master / Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Business / Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant banking and/or consulting experience
  • Strong business domain experience and knowledge in Assisted Channels and Transformation, Branches & Self-Service Banking, Self-Service Machines (ATM, CDM and etc), Omni-Channels and Customer Experience Design. Contact Centre and telesales knowledge is a plus
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and process design skills that can translate analysis into solutions that meet business objectives
  • Understanding of technology and operational processes across functions / departments in the bank/market.

  • Familiar with change management processes and project management fundamentals
  • Strategic forward thinking approach to challenges with outstanding communications, influencing, negotiating and persuasion skills
  • Passionate, diligent and resilient individual with ability to thrive in ambiguity
  • Experience in scoping and evaluation - Defining overall considerations, including scalability, maintainability, cost, operations and technology principal risk to provide a recommendation
  • Project management of business-as-usual and minor/ tactical initiatives
