WHAT TO EXPECT
Strategy and Planning is a focused, passionate team within the Strategy and Sustainability function (XC). The team works alongside Business Development & Strategic Partnerships team (XB) and the wider team to drive growth in equity value for Jaguar Land Rover.
The principal activity of the Industrial and Regional Strategy team is robust commercial and financial appraisal, contributing to high quality strategic decision making. Supporting this, the role of Senior Strategy Finance Analyst is critical in evaluating core strategic opportunities for JLR, as well as translating changes in the external environment, into financial insights that drive JLR's strategy and a coordinated corporate response.
The successful candidate will deliver commercial and detailed financial analyses, incl. interpreting findings, to provide insights to support critical strategic decisions. The individual must also build and nurture business relationships and partnerships with internal stakeholders across the JLR finance community and wider business.
The team operates a flexible resourcing model, allowing individuals to work across a range of projects depending on business requirements and people's development needs.
Strategy & Planning Snr Finance Analyst, you'll:
Support key workstreams (such as strategic analysis, financial analysis or negotiations) on a large project, leading such areas on smaller projectsIdentify and work effectively with key stakeholders and approval forums for the specific project(s)Support financial appraisal activity across the Strategy and Sustainability team projectsBe flexible by supporting additional deliverables across the wider S&S organisation as required Work autonomously and cross-functionally, delivering answers to questions posed by the Board with clear, concise, data-driven recommendationsBalance strategy work with team commitments, developing our people across the wider team Support reporting to senior leadership on project and gateway reviews, including CEO and CFO Have a positive attitude and desire to make a difference at the heart of Jaguar Land Rover with strong leadership and a team-oriented approach to work
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Strategy & Planning Snr Finance Analyst, you'll need the following:
Driven and self-motivated, and able to proactively address challenges and manage changeExperience in building business cases and interpreting financial analysisExperience of budget and business planning processes Working in a demanding environmentExperience of building successful relationshipsProject management experience Change management and continuous improvement experience Educated to degree level or equivalent Professional qualification - Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
