Job Description & Summary

A career in our Global Mobility Services Expatriate Compliance practice, within People and Organisation Consulting services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients reset their talent strategies and deliver extraordinary business results through their people. We focus on evaluating and managing their unique challenges so our clients can maximise their return on the overall investment in human capital. You’ll gain a tremendous depth of expertise in all aspects of human capital, including creating sustainable value through people culture and change, designing compensation and retirement strategies, and improving human capital operations.

Our team helps multinational companies design and implement international assignments and manage overall risk and associated costs. You’ll be focusing on compliance issues related to immigration, employment tax, government regulations, traveller expenses and mobility policies.
  • Develop the immigration practice by collaborating with the wider GMS team on the go-to market strategies, building relationship with potential clients and enhancing team effectiveness
  • Lead, train and engage team members to consistently deliver optimal performance to meet the clients' needs and requirements
  • Identify and determine practice areas for improvement, propose and implement strategic revamps of team structure, processes and working procedures to maximise operational efficiency while ensuring high quality services and support to clients
  • Have a strong rapport with immigration authorities and related government agencies
  • Serve as primary point of contact for the clients and manage client expectations in terms of processes and application approval times, Assist in providing solutions to any difficulties experienced
  • Pursue opportunities to develop existing and new skills outside of your comfort zone
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty
  • Coach others and encourage them to take ownership of their development
  • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations
  • Use multiple sources of information including broader stakeholder views to develop solutions and recommendations
  • Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm’s/client’s expectations
  • Develop a perspective on key global trends, including globalisation, and how they impact the firm and our clients
  • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties

Preferred skills

  • Degree holders with 7-8 years working experience in immigration matters
  • Client facing - Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Commitment to teamwork and excellence
