Working as part of a team, you would support and assists colleagues and help provide our clients with the top level payroll and customer service. You would also assist with development and growth of the business working with the payroll manager and team leads to on-board new payroll clients.
Client Details
To join a busy payroll bureau and work as part of a professional friendly payroll team, where you would be expected to manage a portfolio of payrolls, processing them, in line with our service level agreements (SLA's) and within KPI.
Based in office in the Kingston upon Thames area with free parking locally and very easy access via public transport.
Fully office based until trained, then 1-2 days per week from home
Description
The Payroll Clerk role involves;
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities
· To Manage portfolio of Payrolls (monthly fortnight and weekly)
· Be able to processes payrolls from start to finish and provide support and advice to clients
· Liaise with clients and third parties
· Dealing with transfers of clients in and out of the business (training can be given on this)
· Setting up and closing PAYE schemes (training can be provided on this)
· Work with the team to improve and develop the payroll department
· To work with the team to make sure all work is completed
· Ad hoc duties as required
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Payroll Clerk role will;
- have previous Payroll experience is essential (happy to consider people from in-house Payroll backgrounds, or from accounts practice / payroll bureau)
- Able to explain tax and NI to clients, process statutory payments etc.
- Strong communication skills and highly organised
Job Offer
The Payroll Clerk role offers a basic salary of £23-28,500 + benefits (below), and 1-2 days home working per week once established in the role.
