Assistant Accountant/Accountant (Consumer Startup)

Our client is a consumer start-up that is rapidly scaling across APAC and they are looking for an Assistant Accountant/Accountant to join them. This is a newly created role due to business expansion.

About the job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for monthly and yearly closing of financial accounts for the APAC region. You will also be handling GL entries, accounts payables, verifying expense claims and support statutory and tax filing requirements. In addition you will be involved in adhoc projects such as setting up new accounting systems and other system improvement processes/initiatives. The ideal candidate is one who is proactive with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fluid and unstructured environment.

Skills and experience required

A recognised degree in accounting or relevant with at least 1-3 years of relevant experience. We are also open to candidates directly from Big4 audit as well.
