Job Purpose:


Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will maintain outsourced payrolls for a variety of clients, ranging from SME's through to national businesses. Our team in Guildford consists of 10 staff members and looks after the payroll for 330 clients.

Key Responsibilities:


· Processing weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll runs.

· Maintain payroll records for all staff, including setting up new records, amendments to pay details, updating for leavers and any other adjustments.

· Processing P45s, Maternity Pay, statutory sick pay and other statutory payments & deductions.

· Answering general client queries by written correspondence and by telephone.

· To produce P60s and reconcile PAYE and NI deductions for the year.

· Maintain awareness of, and act in accordance with, all Compliance and legislative obligations.

Skills and Qualifications:


· STAR/IRIS payroll software experience is desirable.

· Planning and organising - to be able to organise own work and prioritise workloads. To meet client and HMRC deadlines

· IT Skills - computer literate with good keyboard skills especially Word and Excel.

· Communication - good communication skills, particularly telephone manner as there will be involvement with clients, partners and other staff.

· Knowledge of Word & Excel essential.

· Relevant experience in a payroll environment
