Currently we are looking for a Junior Accountant with German to support our Luxembourg Accounting team from our office in Katowice. If you would like to develop yourself in the field of accounting and you are proactive about your own learning, we are happy to support you to kick off your international career with us!

Job purpose

Join TMF as a Junior Accountant and start your international accounting career. You will be part of the dedicated Luxembourg accounting team. You will be in charge of a timely and correct handling of matters concerning the day-to-day accounting and administration. In this role you will benefit from the experience of your more senior colleagues giving you the chance to grow in your career life.

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Accountant you will assist a team of experienced accounting experts to handle your clients’ requests on a daily basis. Learn something new every day and grow into the role of managing your own portfolio of clients. By taking the ownership of own development following required and relevant trainings your role will include:

• Maintaining the bookkeeping and accounting records for a client portfolio
• Maintenance of accounting records and preparation of financial reports, i.e. deliverables
• Preparation of support working documents (interest calculations, invoicing schedules etc.)
• Supporting the audit of financial statements with Client Servicing colleagues
• Working closely and effectively with Client Servicing colleagues, such as assisting the Legal department in the preparation of annual shareholders meetings
• Assist Client Servicing colleagues with accounting or administrative tasks when required
• Filing of correspondence

Your Profile

• You have a pro-active attitude to problem solving and can come up with solutions
• You hold a degree in accounting / finance or a degree in a related field
• 1-2 years practical experience ideally through a first internship or work experience in the field of finance/accounting
• Very good communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
• Very good knowledge of German
• You are a team player, who can work well independently
• You are comfortable working remotely as part of an international team
