The Serco Prisoner, Escort and Custodial Services contract safely, securely and humanely transports circa 30,000 of some of the most vulnerable members of British society between prisons, police stations and courts, as well as young offender institutes, secure children's homes and secure training centres. The contract covers the South of England from the Wash over to Bristol and has a footprint of nearly 28,000. Some of the highest profile courts in the UK are serviced by the contract.
We have an opening for a Quality and Compliance Auditor to join our team. They key purpose of this role is to conduct internal audits across PECS locations to the required standard.
The role involves the delivery of audits to provide added value and continuous improvement against process, SOPs and the SQMS.
The duties will involve:
Pre-audit scoping and preparation, identifying audit risks
Conduct audits at PECS Vehicle Bases and Courts
Conduct data audits; analysis of data
Conduct joint audits based on specific PECS process as required
Accurate and comprehensive audit reporting writing
Provide support and guidance to Managers within PECS on process compliance
Action tracking and monitoring through to completion via Assure application
Report on Assurance activities and outcomes at Regional CCM's meetings
Supporting continuous improvement across the PECS contract
This is a fast-paced role that comes with its challenges; however, you will be part of a hardworking team that take pride in the work we do.
What you will need to do the job:
• Understands the role and function of audit
• Knowledge of and experience of current auditing standards and approaches
• Understands analytical review, documenting systems and controls, sampling
techniques
• Advanced Microsoft skills in Excel and Word
• Experience of using data and audit reporting tools
