Treasurer @ Climbing Charity Improving Wellbeing
Our partners mission is to improve the health & wellbeing of communities through sport and outreach. They aim to reach those who do not currently benefit from taking part in sports, due to disability, poverty or personal circumstances.
The board of this ambitious charity are seeking new Trustees, including a Treasurer and Chair, to join them on their exciting journey to open a state-of-the-art climbing and bouldering facility in the West of Scotland in December 2021.
The Treasurer will oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice. They will ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures are in place, and monitor and report to the Trustees on the financial health of the organisation.
This position would suit someone with time to dedicate particularly in the early stages of the charity’s build and growth. The Board meets at least 12 times a year and Trustees are expected to be available for the vast majority of these. The Treasurer will be a member of the finance sub-committee which will meet at agreed times during the year.
Please note that this is a volunteer role and there is therefore no remuneration.
