Business Analyst/Project Manager - Markets Technology
Glasgow
As a Barclays Business Analyst/Project Manager - Markets Technology, within the Markets Post Trade business area, you'll be required to join the analysis and requirement gatherings of Markets Post trade change projects. As a change team, different projects come up each year, and the BA/PM will either manage a project themselves, with supervision as required or be part of a set of BA/PMs where the project requires a bigger team.

What will you be doing?
• Managing small projects independently, or be part of a bigger team on larger project
• Translating regulations into business requirements; responsible for documentation and analysis using appropriate tools and techniques
• Designing and documenting business processes for new world view post regulation implementations; ensuring business users are trained accordingly
• Acting as Barclays' representative in industry calls; ensuring Barclays interest are taken into account and industry initiatives/items are appropriately disseminated
• Reviewing guidelines published by regulators; performing impact assessment and rules extraction to understand cross asset impact to Operations
• Working with global cross functional team, agree defined action plan with owners and dates and follow through to delivery
• Working with legal, compliance, finance, risk and control to ensure firm-wide operational compliance
• Working with IT, Operations, Business and cross-asset colleagues to ensure coordinated Front to Back delivery
What we're looking for:
• Proven experience in a change/project management function in an international investment bank and / or a major consulting firm within financial services
• Experience working with SQL and Databases is required for Data analysis
• Experience in process improvement analysis and business process reengineering
• Knowledge of investment banking front to back processes and Operations
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of OTC Derivatives and how they work from trade capture down to Back Office
• Prior experience of working in an investment banking environment in regulatory reform or Trade Reporting (not compliance) programme
• Knowledge of recent regulatory initiatives like Mifid2 within ESMA or other E.U regions
• Broad knowledge of Capital Markets banking products; Fixed income and/or Equity OTC Derivative product experience
