In House Tax Accountant

A leading Property and Housing Group based in Liverpool is looking for an In House Tax Accountant to join their tax team.

The role will be reporting to a Head of Tax and supporting the production of group and subsidiary financial statements as well as tax compliance for the Group in relation to VAT, corporation tax, employment tax & SDLT.

This position can offer a hybrid working environment in the office and at home if preferred.

Description

The successful In House Tax Accountant will be required:

- To support the of Tax in the development of an efficient and effective tax function for the Group.
- To support the business in developing and implementing tax-efficient services
- To support the production of group and subsidiary financial statements
- To support tax compliance for the Group in relation to VAT, corporation tax, employment tax, SDLT
- To support the delivery of service improvement for financial services.
- To support the provision of appropriate, accurate, and effective financial information and performance monitoring systems throughout the Group.
- To lead on the implementation and maintenance of tax-compliant systems and processes
- To manage relationships with the HMRC and the Groups tax advisors

Profile

The successful In House Tax Accountant will:

• Be working towards or (ideally) hold a professional accountancy qualification, e.g. CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA, or ATT / CTA
• Have a track record in delivering operational service in relation to tax
• Have strong analytical skills

Job Offer

The successful In House Tax Accountant will receive:

£35,000 - £45,000 + career progression + flexible working options and other great benefits.
