** Senior Payroll Specialist - candidate must be immediately available or on a short notice **

The Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of payroll processes to ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing for EMEA. This role will work closely with People Team, Benefits, Compensation and Equity on payroll-related matters as well as interact closely with the accounting.

This EMEA Payroll Specialist is working for a sports technology company who are rapidly expanding due to recent growth.

This role is based in central London, with a hybrid working style. You will be able to go into the office if you would prefer.

Description

The key responsibilities for this EMEA Payroll Specialist are:

  • Responsible for end-to-end monthly payroll processing for multiple countries min a fast-paced environment, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
  • Process commission/bonus/retro and special payments.
  • Prepare and process equity transactions.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers to identify and resolve discrepancies prior to final submission
  • Assist with Year End reporting for multiple countries.
  • Responding quickly and accurately, with professionally composed emails, to internal employee payroll and compensation inquiries
  • Fulfill all external reporting requirements and support payroll tax audits
  • Provide project implementation support with all country
  • Collaborate with business partners to implement process improvements, test system changes, and special projects related to the payroll department
  • To liaise closely with Finance, ensuring accurate monthly reconciliations
  • Support all audit activities as needed
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Ad-hoc accountancy tasks
  • Based in central London

Profile

The successful candidate for this EMEA Payroll Specialist role will be immediately available, with previous relevant accountancy experience. In addition:

  • Experience of preparing and coordinating multiple payrolls in the UK and Europe (Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Switzerland, Netherlands, Austria).
  • Experience of preparing and processing equity transactions
  • Ability to adapt to change and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team oriented
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to and be flexible in changing environment and support of multiple employees and leaders under tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
  • Ability to work independently
  • Advanced IT skills with experience implementing payroll and time systems in medium sized organizations
  • At times will require working outside of normal business hours to support workload and partner time zones.
