Exciting opportunity in central London working with the top sports technology company.
This is a 6 month Fixed term contract, with the opportunity to be offered a permanent position.
Client Details
This is a 6m FTC position, based in central London. This role will offer a hybrid working environment, where you can choose to go into the office if you would prefer.
Description
The main responsibilities for this EMEA Payroll Manager:
- Manage the day-to-day Payroll Process in multiple European countries to ensure compliance with international rules, regulations and laws for multiple entities and pay cycle following the pay cycle schedule
- Oversee the preparation and submission of monthly payrolls in each location, and approving payroll reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage the processing of stock transactions to avoid delay in tax filing reporting and taxable wages reporting
- Work closely with third-party payroll providers to prepare year-end tax statements in all responsible countries
- Collaborate with business partners to implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects related to the payroll department
- Liaise closely with Finance, ensuring accurate monthly reconciliations
- Operates as a customer service adviser and subject matter expert as it relates to employee's pay, data integrity, payment authorizations, and appropriate reporting to our partners, pension schemes, HMRC and other statutory bodies.
- Works under minimal supervision on complex projects, with latitude for independent judgement
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously, while working in a fast-paced environment
- Awareness of changes to current payroll legislation to advise the business on necessary changes
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- Ad-hoc accountancy tasks
Profile
The successful candidate for this position will have:
- Minimum 6+ years experience of global payroll processing (countries located in EMEA required)
- Highly resilient and ability to perform within a fast-paced payroll environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and support of multiple clients, under tight deadlines
- Highly proficient in interpreting payroll rules and regulations
- Knowledge of pension schemes, practices and pension scheme administration
- Educated to professional level qualification in Payroll relevant subject(s) (desirable)
- Excellent IT skills with experience implementing payroll and time systems in medium sized organizations
- Demonstrate the ability to have strong communication skills - both written and oral and be able to work using your own initiative.
- At times will require working outside of normal business hours to support workload and partner time zones.
