This is an exciting opportunity for a part qualified/AAT qualified Management Accountant to join a business in Marlborough on a permanent basis.

Please note that this role is based in the office on a full time basis.

Client Details

Our client is a well respected national business, their finance team is head quartered in Marlborough. Due to business growth, they are recruiting for a Management Accountant to join the small finance team on a permanent basis.

Description

Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:


  • Preparation of monthly Management accounts, including analysis of variances to budget, profit and loss and balance sheet with supporting notes and commentary.
  • Monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations.
  • Maintain Stock listings for both Bloodstock and Livestock.
  • Maintenance of the Fixed assets registers.
  • Review of the month end Bank reconciliations in GBP, Euro and USD.
  • Quarterly VAT Returns - Including Agricultural and property VAT rules.
  • Work closely with the Purchase Ledger accounts assistant: Ensuring all queries are resolved in a timely manner, reviewing month end report of accounts payables ready for payment approval and payment once authorised.
  • Control of the Sales ledger.
  • Posting of the monthly payroll journals.
  • Managing petty cash and credit card expenses.
  • Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed e.g. Maintaining vehicle and insurance databases.
  • Assist with the yearly audits
  • Support the Financial Director with any ad-hoc tasks required

    • Profile

    The successful candidate will be studying towards a professional accountancy qualification and have AAT as a minimum. You must be available to work full time on site in Marlborough Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm.

    Job Offer

    A salary of between £32,000 and £42,000 + study support is on offer to the successful candidate as well as a clear path to progression.
