Who Are We?

1. Brought together animators, designers, teachers and curriculum developers to create a cartoon series by the name of Taleemabad. Taleemabad is set in an imaginary city, where our characters get into all sorts of (mis)adventures with one sole objective: to get children to learn while having fun. Watch a sample here.    Brought together teachers with developers and tech enthusiasts, and created a game-based learning platform for android phones (called the Taleemabad Learning App) which has now reached 1M+ households, with a rating of 4.4 on Playstore!

    

   Launched School vertical (details here), where  we empower entrepreneurs to take our approach and build a truly progressive, modern school at an affordable fee. It’s fun to be in Taleemabad, you should visit one soon. We plan to build 100+ of these in the next year, taking incredibly engaging learning across the country. 

    

   Our work recently won a WISE award,  has gotten recognized from the Queen of England,  featured in the New York Times and Forbes magazine. We’re going places in the next few years, and we want you to join us on the journey.

Responsibilities: 

We are looking for someone who can take a leadership role and set up a strong foundation and systems for the Accounts and finance department. The role will evolve with time, however following explains the key responsibilities:

Accounts & Finance

Administration 

• Prepare and maintain the financial records on a monthly basis (Income Statement, Balance Sheet) and share with management

   

• Oversee monthly employee payroll and benefits, including tax deductions and filling 

   

• Lead the budgeting process for the organization, and keep 

   

• oversee reconciliation of petty cash payments

   

• Oversee and manage the payment processing from partners (i-e schools, donors, investors etc)

   

  Oversee the revenue collection process 

   

  Oversee inventory management

   

• Oversee administration of office and any support that team needs (including the bill payment, inventory, office maintenance)

   

• Oversee and manage the budgets and keep the management updated on monthly basis regarding the variances or any other discrepancies 

   

• Prepare and implement policies and procedures to streamline operations

   

• Oversee and prepare for yearly audit, coordinate, and resolve any issues

   

  Ensure that all the asset record is maintained and available 

   

• Coordinate with various stakeholders for company’s legal and financial matters

   

  Job Specification:

•  5-6 years of relevant experience (preferably worked in a young company, and built systems)

   

  Experience of managing teams, and setting up systems 

   

  Strong communication, and analytical skills 

   

  Detailed oriented, has ability to work under pressure,and applies problem solving approaches 

   

  Good at planning, organizing and implementing processes 

   

  Exhibit leadership skills and capacity to drive change in a fast paced environment

   

Prefered Qualification: CA Inter, ACCA, Degree in Accounting & Finance
