Academy Finance Lead

Acting as finance lead for two secondary schools within the Multi Academy Trust.

My client is a Multi Academy Trust, comprising 11 school across West and East Midlands.

Description

• Working closely with Senior Finance Lead to explain financial data to non finance colleagues
• Preparing data for month end Trust accounts
• Involved in preparing the Trust's centrally prepared monthly management accounts
• In conjunction with the Central Finance Leads (CFL), manage and co-ordinate the annual statutory accounts exercise for the Trust and supporting information for the audit; this will require co coordinating audits for all academies
• Maintain an awareness of management accounts picture for East Midlands and to a lesser extent the Trust as a whole, assisting local leadership to make informed spending decisions.
• Support Central Finance Leads with implementation and maintenance of financial systems, PS Financials, Bromcom (student systems); PaperCut
• Production of Monthly 'CEO finance pack' (our centrally-produced management accounts for all academies) - integrity checking nominal coding, correcting as necessary
• Report into the regional CFL. You will line manage two regional Academy Finance Administrators.
• Engagement in month end close down procedures
• Financial reporting:

• Support CFL with monthly principals and exec principals meetings
• Support CFLs with production of local governor packs
• Support CFO with production of monthly Board pack

Job Offer

£35,000 - £40,000 plus Local Government Pension Scheme
