Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to act as a Senior Business Analyst for the MyComplianceOffice (MCO) initiative. The role will be part of a lean change team, setting the direction for, coordinating, and managing the transformation efforts across the whole of the CFCC function.

The role holder is expected to support the strategic initiative "MCO" by facilitating discovery and crystallization of business requirements, thorough analysis of problem statements with tech partners to identify solution options, partnering with stakeholders to agree on solution and ensuring constructed solution are sufficiently tested and validated

The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

MCO is a bank-wide strategic initiative to replace two existing in-house platforms (1) Conflicts Management System (2) Gifts & Entertainment, with a modern vendor-sourced platform. The existing systems support an array of internal standards and regulatory requirements which necessitates significant analytical work to identify the optimal approach to transit and adapt to the new platform.

The role holder will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of the key modules within the new platform, including the Personal Account Dealing, Outside Business Interest, Deal Review, Gifts & Entertainment, Declarations/Attestations and Mobile Application

Business

The role holder will be responsible for providing business analysis expertise to the MCO initiative. The role holder will adhere to all relevant internal Project Governance standards, to ensure compliance with the Project Management Standards for those Projects in which they are involved.

The role holder is responsible for the following in undertaking the role:
  • Responsible for end to end business analysis of the MCO initiative
  • Formulate and define solution scope and objective
  • Craft meaningful JIRAs, including user stories, defects and tasks to clearly explain and define the problem statement and the acceptance criterias
  • Foster effective communication between Business and Technology
  • Consult with stakeholders to resolve issues and clarify business requirements, through in-depth evaluation of business processes and system capabilities
  • Responsible for participating in project activities from start to end, involving business requirements definition, functional specification verification, user acceptance testing and business change management / integration
  • Engage key stakeholders to understand their business needs and priorities
  • Proactively identify and communicate risks, issues and corresponding business impact

Processes
  • Support the respective CFCC process owners for the requirements gathering, analysis, design and delivery model for the respective modules
  • Partner with technology stakeholders to ensure all relevant development and testing activities are firmly aligned with the business requirements and efficiently scheduled

Risk Management

  • Ensure all activity adheres to the Banks Risk Management Framework, with a specific focus on ensuring an effective framework for the management of operational risks as they pertain to the role.

Governance

  • Demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Deliver 'effective governance'; capability to challenge colleagues effectively; and willingness to work in an open and cooperative manner with all.

Our Ideal Candidate

The role holder will have 7+ years of experience of delivering business requirements focused on process improvement / transformation within the Banking industry, ideally gained in a variety of roles and organisational contexts. In particular, the role holder will demonstrate:
  • Agile qualifications preferred (e.g. Agile Scrum Master or Product Owner)
  • Project delivery experience using Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with the JIRA tool to efficiently document and track business requirements
  • Domain knowledge across Risk & CFCC space
  • Stakeholder management experience - facilitating business requirement discussions with key stakeholders to agree on solution design and approach
  • An analytical approach to business requirements and solution impediments, coherently balancing macros and micro perspectives with agility
  • Specific experience of documenting processes and requirements, including the ability to synthesise and explain clearly to the business stakeholders
  • Strong oral, written communication, and presentation skills
