This is a new and exciting opportunity for a Billing Assistant to work with a leading Management Consultancy firm based in the City of London. This is a hybrid position working both from home and in the office.

Client Details

The client is a Management Consultancy firm with over 30 year's experience and operating in 11 countries around the world. They work with both SMEs and large businesses assisting with strategic evaluations and development of their brands. They are now looking for a Billing Assistant to join their Finance team based in the City of London.

Description

The Billing Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Processing all financial data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintaining a clean Accounts Receivable Ledger
  • Assisting and working together with the Global Billing & Credit Control Manager and the Billing team
  • Being a valuable member of the finance team
  • Preparing draft invoices and sending out for approval
  • Updating the accounting system with all project information, including attaching of T&C's, setting of milestones
  • Assisting in reconciling WIP, both fees and expenses to accounting package on a monthly basis
  • Reconciling expenses incurred to client invoices for final billing, ensuring all expenses have been captured
  • Reviewing cost trackers, ensuring costs are either recorded to live project or expensed to P&L on a timely basis
  • Liaising with clients to deal with invoice and expenses queries
  • Assisting with debt collection
  • Assisting with preparation of journals for monthly management accounts relating to WIP and Debtors
  • Account allocations of receipts and sales invoices
  • Ad hoc reports, including running and distribution of project expenses reports from Dimension/Kimble/Concur
  • Other duties that may be allocated from time to time

Profile

The successful Billing Assistant:

  • Minimum 3 years previous experience within role managing Billing and WIP.
  • Previous experience working in professional services industry
  • Demonstrate awareness and ability to learn HMRC requirements in respect of VAT
  • Intermediate level of Excel
  • Knowledge of Access Dimensions/NetSuite preferable but not essential
  • Be proactive and use initiative, making recommendations for process improvements
  • Take responsibility and work autonomously to meet tight deadlines
  • Manage relationships across all levels of the business
  • Show high attention to detail to ensure accuracy of data in the accounting system

Job Offer

The successful Billing Assistant will be entitled to the competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience, along with these other benefits:
