Become a member of our "SCD Tax and Financial Reporting" Team!

A varied work in a highly motivated team and a demanding client are waiting for you.

We provide comprehensive support for the clients assigned to us (among the top 5 clients advised by Luxembourg in terms of assets under management). Our tasks include all topics related to the client (s):

  • Financial Reporting,
  • Regular Reporting,
  • Investment Tax,
  • Withholding Tax,
  • Other Reporting requirements.

You will work in an expert team and use our competence centers in Germany and Poland as partners. As a result, we communicate with the client, auditors and internal clients.

Our day-to-day business includes the creation of the relevant reports and their publication, determination and implementation of distributions and the determination / checking of key figures, communication with our customers, with auditors and with local tax authorities, just to name a few tasks. In addition, we continually improve ourselves and optimize our processes.

What you will be responsible for

As Member in our Team you will

  • Provide high quality review of sets of reconciliations and reporting packs to be used in financial statements for annual and interim reporting cycles
  • Provide all income information for the distributions or interim distributions of investment funds on time and in unbeatable quality
  • Communicate with the client and auditors as well as tax authorities and offer solutions for clients' inquiries
  • Assist Manager and Team Colleagues to ensure all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards
  • Be up to date with all regulatory changes. Analyze and adapt to new accounting and financial reporting standards in cooperation with Business Partners as well as ensure staff is trained and aware in advance about the impact of these changes
  • Provide technical and planning support for new business transitions to Poland and ensure proper governance and controls are in place; perform post-transition analysis to identify process gaps.
  • Observe, inspect and evaluate the performance of the preparers and the reviewers
  • Support internal training team while preparing training materials and delivering training sessions to the staff
  • Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems to increase productivity through the usage of information systems and other tools
  • Act as central point of contact for technical issues encountered in the daily business in order to reduce to a minimum the number of queries to the client(s); track issue trends and escalate as needed
  • Own adoption of new tools and solutions and strongly support technical team within the department on preparation to migration, new ideas etc.
  • Take a leading role in the review of corporate documentation of processes, procedures and controls; evaluate their continuing effectiveness and accuracy, initiate remedial action as necessary and ensure documentation exists for any client-specific procedures.
  • Contribute to analysis and planning of client care Operating Model with the aim of standardizing processes and establishing best practice.

What we value

  • Knowledge of accounting and Tax frameworks
  • Knowledge of Financial Reporting and/or Audit processes and/or German Investment Tax
  • PC literate with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluent/ very good knowledge of spoken and written German (German Client and German outputs/ reports)
  • good knowledge of spoken and written English, additional other languages ​​are also welcome
  • Ability to multitask and work in a pressured environment
  • Enquiring mind and a willingness to investigate and solve problems
  • Ability to communicate effectively, respectfully and trustfully with colleagues and business partners at all levels
  • Be solution-oriented
  • Experience of working to deadlines, must be able to manage time effectively

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/MA degree in a related field, e.g. accounting.
  • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience
