Primary purpose of the role:

  • Accounting services to the clients

Major responsibilities & deliverables:

  • Day to day accounting in accounting software/ERP such as Tally / MS NAV / SAP / Oracle / JDE
  • Prepare and record various transactions such as Bank transactions, Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets & Depreciation, Prepayments, Accruals, and Foreign Exchange Transactions
  • Ensure compliance with the client’s Policies and Procedures, Chart of Accounts, Cost Centre Accounting while preparing and recording various transactions
  • Coordinate P2P and O2C workflows including disbursement of payments to vendors through bank portals, including payments to foreign vendors, assist in collection from customers
  • Coordination with various customer, vendor and internal team member
  • Assist in compliance with TDS and GST, coordinate tax payments such as TDS and GST, coordinate forms 15CA and 15CB for payments to foreign vendors
  • Prepare reconciliation of bank accounts, TDS and GST, and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements
  • Assist in preparing and e-filing of tax and other returns such as TDS, GST, RBI, STPI and, SEZ
  • Implement chart of accounts, cost centers, SOPs, book close and other checklists, and update various trackers & dashboards on regular basis
  • Implementation of various process automation to ease day to day deliverables.
  • Perform such other accounting tasks as may be assigned from time to time, and work in an efficient and effective manner by consistently applying BPS methodologies, processes and tools

Service Line Technical capabilities:

Operates finance and accounting solutions that strengthen compliance and improve efficiency through:

  • Fluency in accounting software/ERP - Tally / MS NAV / SAP / Oracle / JDE
  • Accounting standards – user level knowledge and experience
  • Compliance with TDS, advance tax and filing annual return of income-tax – user level knowledge and experience
  • Compliance with GST – user level knowledge and experience
  • Compliance with RBI, STPI and SEZ regulations – user level knowledge and experience

  • Develops knowledge of relevant rules and regulations and their associated processes to formulate solutions for client problems
  • Remains current on recent developments and changes related to area of specialization
  • Delivers client service according to relevant Deloitte standards, policies, and ethical principles
  • Understands the general components of and tracks progress against a work plan, assuming responsibility for assigned work and reviews for accuracy and quality
  • Develops an understanding of quality processes and risk procedures as they relate to clients, including scope
  • Understands our Tax and Legal services and products
  • Leads data gathering and assimilation to formulate a hypothesis and conducts an objective root cause analysis using a structured problem solving approach
  • Develops analytical models that can be interpreted convincingly and reinforce recommendations
  • Proactively shares knowledge, ideas, and information with others
  • Contributes ideas to develop solutions, consulting with others as appropriate
  • Is familiar with Tax and Legal technology offerings, frameworks and methods routinely integrated within Service Line domain
  • Applies knowledge of technologies to strengthen client recommendations
  • Stays current on technology trends and understands how Deloitte’s services and capabilities can address common client challenges

  • Graduate – B.com/ M.com/ CA Inter

Experience required, Any Specific Industry / Company exposure:

  • 2 years (Executive) / 5 years (Sr. Executive) experience in Finance & Accounts and Payroll in Corporate Sector or a Mid to Large sized Accounting Services Firms
