Investment Management Services (IMS) Claims team is one of Middle Office function State Street has centralized in Gdansk. A global Claims team is investigating claimable events for one of State Street’s client. On a daily basis team has contact with client, brokers, banks and internal operation teams to analyze various products on the market what gives a great knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Working within the Investment Management Services - Claims team based in Poland, provide primary support for operational team (BAU) support
  • Developing effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported
  • Developing and supporting critical internal relationships with dependent units, clients, cross functional operational colleagues and global counterparts
  • Act as escalation point for difficult or contentious events.
  • Provide direction, and as needed interact directly with brokers, custodians, and internal parties to drive resolution.

Required Skills/ Qualifications:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a large financial services organization – a detailed understanding of the procedural, technical and product requirements within Middle Office area is preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial markets; familiarity with custodian cut offs for various financial products and settlement methodologies
  • Understanding of settlement methodologies across various products (Fixed Income, Equity, FX, Cash etc.)
  • Industry utility experience preferred – Omgeo CTM, ALERT, GTSS, SWIFT
  • Good communication, leadership and team working skills
  • Client service and solutions driven mind-set, including ability to work with third-party Senior management
  • Fluent English – strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Academic background, preferred degree in economics, finance, science or engineering
  • IT skills, including MS Office applications
