Position purpose

Ability to work to tight timelines and under pressure to ensure deliverables are achieved
Strong communication skills

Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Controls
- Execution of Daily, Monthly and Quarterly first level controls for BNPP Sydney Branch, BPAC
- Monthly account justification for control purposes
- Perform fair value effectiveness testing, nostro outstanding review, sensitive accounts review, etc..
Reporting
- Preparation and review of audit files for the external auditors
- Assisting with / Preparation of the local statutory financial statements and Annual Statutory returns
- Preparation of month end accruals
- Assist APAC finance head office reporting team with data validation, reporting, analysis etc
- Production of local regulatory reporting to APRA, ABS, RBA, ASIC, etc
Tax
- Income tax accrual calculation
- Preparation of quarterly tax effect accounting
- Preparation of monthly BAS return
- Preparation of weekly withholding tax return
- Preparation of and /or assistance with GST returns, BAS, AIIR reports, IAS and DTA
- Preparation of information for tax returns
General
- Back up other team members during leave
- Provide support to other department on ad-hoc request
- Assistance to the Head of Financial Reporting & Control.
