I am working with a well-established European Asset Manager, with a small London based office, recruiting a compliance Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The Role
My client is looking for a Compliance Manager for a 12-Month Fixed Term contract covering a Maternity Leave, based in London with a hybrid working environment (3 days in/2 days out), for a role to start by as soon as possible - to provide support to the compliance team, ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements and expectations.
The Team
You will work within a small team, with one other compliance officer, reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance who is based in Geneva - who you will assist directly. The company puts a focus on personal progress and development, as such, they are seeking an individual who strives for personal success.
The Duties
The duties of this role are of generalist compliance, including compliance and risk monitoring, reporting, ad-hoc projects, and the training of employees. As such, a strong knowledge of FCA rules and requirements - as well as an understanding and awareness of a wider European regulatory framework - is required. Furthermore, as reports will be presented to boards and management committees, a history of board facing duties will be beneficial.
The Ideal Candidate
My Client is seeking a compliance professional with at least 5 years of compliance experience - ideally within an asset management firm. As the team is quite small, the ideal candidate will have done a very similar role in the past to allow a swift transition into the new environment. Previous use of Bloomberg, and proficiency in the Microsoft package is beneficial, as well as and French competency.
