The Amazon Freight product allows Shippers to use Amazon's transportation network to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology driven solution for the shipping needs of small and large businesses and is scaling rapidly as an offering. Amazon Freight is a part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization in Europe which is a cutting-edge supply chain technology organization and responsible for many of Amazon's best-in-class logistics offerings.

We are looking for a a detail-oriented, analytical, technically skilled, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Business Analyst to join our fast paced dynamic team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, relishes working with large volumes of data, enjoys the challenge of highly complex business contexts, and, above all else, is a passionate about data and analytics. This role will be pivotal in supporting our Sales, Marketing and Operations team to meet their challenging goals by providing targeted and actionable insight.

Responsibilities:
• Play a key role in defining the strategy, planning & working mechanism for the BA team
• Provide thought leadership and mentorship to junior analysts on the team
• Partner with stakeholders to anticipate their needs and drive business change
• Own strategic projects involving partner teams including data science and international sister teams
• Automation of manual data processes, including data quality and validation
• Design, optimize, and compile queries to generate reports in Tableau, QuickSight, PowerBI and Excel
• Shaping and delivering key metrics, reports, and indicators by which our business will assess its performance
• Design and implementation of analytical models using statistical analysis
• Translate complex or ambiguous business problem statements into analysis requirements
• Have a working knowledge of the data available or needed by the wider business for more complex or comparative analysis
• Solve ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; drive to the heart of the problem and identify root causes
• Communicate complex analytical insights and business implications effectively
• Actively manage the timeline and deliverables of projects, focusing on interactions in the team

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar analytical field.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring application of analytic skills in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analyst role
• Experience in SQL and building dashboards, reports, using Tableau or PowerBI
• Experience working with large data sets
• Prior experience in design and execution of analytical projects
• Proven analytical problem solving skills in a complex space, attention to detail, and exceptional communication & organizational skills
• Ability to manage a broad range of tasks and a track record of efficiently meeting deadlines

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Team leadership experience
• 8+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role
• Ability to use Python to evaluate data and build automation workstreams
• Experience with query optimization
• Experience of analytically working in the transportation space
