Business Analyst I

Description:
The F3CO (F3 Catalog Ops) team is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with excellent statistical and analytical abilities. If you are a self-starter, someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, with an uncanny knack and passion for turning qualitative analysis and observations into diagnostics and metrics, then you are the right candidate for our team. In this role, the candidate would work closely with operations, product, and program teams across the F3 (Fresh, Food, Fast) Catalog org.

In this position, you will be a key contributor and sparring partner, developing analytics and insights that F3 Catalog partners will use to define global strategies and deep dive businesses. The position is based in Hyderabad, but will interact with leaders in NA and IN.

We seek a self-starter who can quickly familiarize him/herself with this fast-paced environment, build relationships with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership for a broad array of topics. Job responsibilities

• Work with team members and business customers to gather requirements and deliver components of analytical solutions.
• Own the maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and analyses used to drive key business decisions.
• Mine data and prepare datasets and reporting decks
• Explore and develop expertise with internal Amazon data services and public AWS products
• Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights.
• Create high quality documentation for your customers and colleagues.

Basic Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis
• Experience with SQL or ETL
• Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
• 1+ years of experience in Business/Customer Analytics
• 1+ years of experience in writing optimized SQL queries with exposure to advanced SQL including common table expressions and window functions
• 1+ years of experience with advanced Excel and VBA
• 1+ years of experience in building dashboards using data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Quicksight
• Ability to work through complex business problems and partner with internal teams with a consultative approach to put data insights into actions
• Ability to work with large segregated data sources, and produce well defined solutions in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
• Proven ability to clearly communicate with managers at all levels
• Global perspective and solid understanding of business objectives
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work high levels of accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:
• Initiative to develop tools, data collection processes, and data management systems
• 3+ years of relevant experience in a business analyst, data analyst or statistical analysis role
• Demonstrated ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format
• Ability to use scripting languages such as Python or R to evaluate data
• Knowledge of AWS Infrastructure including S3, Redshift, DynamoDB and RDS
