The opportunity

The FSO (Financial Services Office) Oceania Assurance Operations Leader works to support the Financial Services Oceania Assurance Leader to develop and execute their market strategies. The role will include collaboration with the business on their strategic priorities and to project manage the implementation and operationalization of changes to business processes and controls underpinning the priority strategies.

The role falls within the Financial Services Assurance practice and will report to the FSO APAC Assurance Operations Leader. This role is offered at the Associate Director level on a full-time basis in our Sydney office.

Your key responsibilities
  • Managing the business requirements and solutions that will deliver on the change initiatives for the Financial Services Assurance practice
  • Leading a team who manage day to day operational activities for the Assurance practice
  • Managing projects and working to operationalise these projects with a focus on efficient business processes
  • Liaising with Assurance Leaders and other Region Assurance Operation Leaders to instil best practice and management in the way we work
  • Managing the budget for Financial Services Assurance Oceania practice
  • Contribute to the strategic thinking and shaping of the practice as part of the NextWave ambition


Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance (or similar)
  • Previous demonstrated experience in operations (5-7 years)
  • Experience managing and leading others
  • Excellent project management skills, proven team building and interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
  • High versatility and an ability to influence a diverse group of senior stakeholders
  • Strong focus on understanding business processes and drive the right solution outcomes
  • Ability to self-manage, strong sense of accountability, good initiative and can work independently

Ideally, you'll also have:
  • Strong understanding of professional services
  • Ability to create cohesive teams with influence
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships
