A high growth international healthcare business is looking for a Financial Controller. The business has been growing rapidly over the last few years and intend to continue on this journey in the next couple of years. The Financial Controller will manage a team of 5 people and report into the Finance Director. This organisation is doing profoundly important work, using biotechnology and gene therapy to cure life threatening and highly debilitating diseases. The Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting a range of departments to allow the business to achieve its goals.
The Financial Controller will take on a broad remit covering all aspects of finance including budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, running the month end close, year end stats, audit and VAT / Tax. This individual will also be expected to strive for continuous improvement, implementing new processes & systems where necessary and developing the team. In addition, this individual will support the Finance Director with special projects such as acquisitions, business cases, investment appraisal and a variety of other ad hoc duties.
This would be the ideal next step for someone who is already established as a Financial Controller but is looking for a new challenge in a growing company. The organisation has lovely offices in Central London but offer flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week.
The ideal background for the Financial Controller would be a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) from an Audit trained background with significant post-qualified experience as a Financial Controller. Exposure to the Healthcare, Pharma, Biotech or Manufacturing industries would be beneficial. However, individuals from other fast paced ever changing environments will be equally considered.
