We have an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Development Finance Team located in our Sydney CBD, Castlereagh Street office

The Role

In this exciting role, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for managing development feasibilities from pre-approval stage through to delivery, with a focus on greenfield projects, to progress the growing Logistics pipeline which has a value of $2bn. The role has one direct report.

You will be a seasoned Investment or Property Analyst looking to utilise your Commercial Property Accounting knowledge to create and manage feasibility models to support investment proposals. Previous feasibility or business case modelling to support decision-making experience is advantageous.

The role will also require you to manage forecasting and budgeting for the logistics development portfolio, ensure adherence to Stockland Policies and Accounting Standards, actively engage in a process improvement culture, and contribute towards enhancing systems, and templates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support proactive engagement with the CP Development Team to facilitate the accurate management and reporting of feasibilities for the Logistics portfolio
  • Responsible for the accurate analysis and reporting of development performance drivers and investment metrics
  • Project level budgeting and forecasting and ensuring the accuracy of such in consolidated Group level reporting
  • Month-end and half-year end management and ensuring compliance with Group Accounting policies
  • Support Development Managers with the provision of financial inputs for capital request papers
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key internal customers/stakeholders including Development Business Unit Senior Managers and Managers and broader Group Finance, Investor Relations and Legal


About You

Appropriate tertiary qualification and either CA/CPA/CFA accreditation is required. SAP experience is an advantage

  • Experience in commercial property and/or commercial property development is highly regarded, as is experience in Group Planning type functions (such as FP&A)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining large scale financial models to support strategic initiatives is highly advantageous
  • High level of attention
  • Strong commercial and financial skills and understanding of Accounting Standards
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills - including the ability to collaborate and partner with non-Finance stakeholders
