Elite Audit Recruitment is working with an impressive organisation whom partner with the world's leading retail automotive brands to drive profitability and mitigate risk in a changing global market. This organisation provides professional Services as an accounting and taxation professional to their clients.
This new important hire as an Audit Director, you will be in charge of an audit team who deliver the audit reports and statutory accounts for clients. You will be responsible to sign off audit reports for a number of clients including the more significant clients. Manage the audit department / people / clients / workflow
Manage the regulatory responsibilities of the firm in terms of ICAEW (e.g. annual ethics/independence/fit & proper/money laundering forms, organising annual cold file reviews etc.)
The role reports to the CEO with regard to agreed performance related criteria.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)for at least 4 years

- Provide a role model to junior staff setting the highest personal and technical standards
- Be the lead advisor to the more significant clients
- Be accountable, along with others, for new business development
- Provide coaching and mentoring to your team to support their personal and professional development
- Support in the development of training programmes for Audit trainees at various stages of their career
- Liaise with the Head of Tax to deliver a seamless service to clients
The role reports to the CEO with regard to agreed performance related criteria.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA)for at least 4 years
- You will already be, or have been within the last 24 months, a "responsible individual" and have a number of years of experience in relation to audit related client engagements.
- It is essential that you have a thorough and very professional approach to work when dealing with internal and external customers.
- To be the Head of the Audit, you will exhibit strong team player credentials including a high level of commitment to colleagues, clients and the company.
