Playter is an industry changing, VC backed FinTech, bringing BNPL into the B2B world. We're funding the global startup and scale up community by helping them split their invoices over 6 months for 0% interest. Think Klarna, but for B2B. (or as we call it - Grow Now, Pay Later)
We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for understanding businesses and their needs, to build out the risk management function of Playter, helping founders achieve their growth ambitions.

We love flexible working, but we also love seeing each other, which means that you'll be expected to come into the office in London Paddington between 2-3 days each week.

We are looking for an experienced individual with a passion for understanding businesses and their needs, to build out the risk management function of Playter, helping founders achieve their growth ambitions.
This will include:
- Building and mobilising a best in class framework and approach to risk management
- Defining and documenting business and credit risk processes, making and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Translating risk concerns and processes to employees from a diverse group of disciplines, including non-financial ones.
- Demonstrating a willingness to learn and understand new trends and concepts
- Challenging colleagues and collaborating with them to own and execute process improvements
- Building our own unique credit scoring mechanism used for global SMEs
You'll be:
- Bringing a clear understanding of the Credit Risk landscape, with hands-on experience from a strong modelling/risk background.
- Experienced in making lending decisions and managing a wide and varied credit risk portfolio, owning end to end credit processes.
- Strong understanding of Open Banking and and Accounting software, being able to build models and risk scenarios based on their data sets.
- Someone with strong commercial and analytical skills, a critical thinker with an eye for detail, able to work at pace whilst maintaining accuracy.
- Coming from a technology-led financial institution and/or start-up / scale-up environment specialising in lending, at a challenger bank or other fintech lending business.
