Key Responsibilities:
  • Involve in MFRS 9 automation project, regulatory and internal reporting, conduct in-depth analysis of ECL and any ad-hcc tasks assigned from time to time.
  • Actively involved and fully participate in internal Group projects

MFRS 9 Project
  • Pro-active co-ordinate compilation and generation of relevant information in compliance with the MFRS 9 requirement
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including Credit Risk, Group Research (Economist) and Group Credit Maangement to ensure efficient and fair communication at all stage of the project
  • Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan
  • Assist the planning and execution of assigned project(s) to ensure successful rollout of the project(s)
  • Assist the development and implementation of project(s) as part of the process improvement initiative to be more efficient
  • Conduct training to stakeholders
Analytical Review
  • Perform monthly or quarterly forecast of financial results upon request including preparation of various scenario and ensuring accuracy
  • Conduct in-depth analysis on the financial performance upon request
  • Coordinate with various parties for any new BNM / regulator's requirements or guidelines
  • Engage and discuss with Business and highlight potential accounts for monitoring to ensure that further delinquency is capped to avoid loan losses

Requirements:
  • Professional qualification in accounting, finance, banking or related qualification.
  • Minimum of 4-5 years working experience in finance department or related fields. Experience in big four or large domestic banks will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge on MFRS 9 ECL related areas
  • Able to adapt to changes and constantly improve work processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Good knowledge of banking operations processes and accounting standards
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the Group's systems architecture, system flows and databases
  • Computer skills/knowledge in data mining or using productivity tools like SQL or other BI/analytical tools
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to work both independently and as a team
