Joining the Cash & Banking team as a Reconciliation & Reporting Specialist, your role is responsible for the reconciliation of approximately 35 bank and control accounts within the TUI UK & I group ensuring all open transactions are resolved and posted to the general ledger within agreed schedules and/or agreed terms. The Reconciliation & Reporting Specialist is also required to report on and investigate variances on the accounts and to provide an effective and efficient reconciliation process.


  • Complete reconciliations ensuring that all transactions are posted to the general ledger in a timely manner, preparing any correcting journals as required
  • Investigate all mismatches on the accounts and take corrective action and seek to identify any trends to understand root causes and report on ways to improve the automatch rates
  • Work closely with our Banking providers, Support Services and WNS to resolve queries in a timely manner and seek to support and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Be responsible for WNS reconciled accounts providing support and will be escalation point for any queries they cannot resolve
  • Ensure that all internal controls are fully adhered to and make recommendations for improvement and ensure records are accurately maintained and archived to satisfy audit and statutory requirements
  • Provide data to Audit as and when required in a timely manner


  • We are looking for someone with excellent reconciliation and customer service skills
  • You must be a strong communicator in both written and oral communication, including the need to brief and educate senior stakeholders on detailed issues
  • You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to fix problems once and for all
  • Experience of using SAP would be preferable
  • A competent user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • You must have strong organisational skills and be able to work to tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience of working with an offshore partner would be an advantage
