Senior Finance Manager

This is a hands on role that requires working knowledge of accounting disciplines such as financial accounting, compliance reporting, budget preparation, system development and improvements. Reporting directly to the Managing Director as part of a small senior leadership team and seen as the principal individual in finance.

Description

• Ensure the smooth, accurate and timely running of the accounts department, and information produced.
• Manage 3 direct reports
• Forecasting, Budgeting, KPI's and Financial reporting
• Oversee the preparation of year end audit and tax files for the auditors ensuring all financial and entity level controls are adhered to
• Provide high quality communications including reports and analysis on finance within the business
• Manage a generation of high quality timely financial reports as required within the business and by the group
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and that the business meets the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies
• To lead the financial planning process in order to ensure the timely preparation and presentation of annual budgets and other forward planning information
• Overall responsibility for Payroll, all taxes (PAYE, VAT, Corporation Tax etc)
• Other duties include, Company Secretarial duties, company cars, business insurances, national statistics

Profile

• Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 3 years + industry experience

• Critical to the position is strong interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication and the ability to maintain a high degree of sensitivity and confidentiality

• The ability to plan and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines, to use intuitive and possess a positive attitude towards teamwork is critical

• Experience in supporting Commercial decision making

• Computer literacy is essential with particular reference to advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, SUMIF's etc,). Working knowledge of Oracle's JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and SAP/4Hana would be an advantage
