Job Description & Summary

A career within Corporate Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet their tax obligations while managing the impact tax has on their business. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing working capital, and profit sharing for partners. You’ll also help organisations understand the pricing implications of goods and services between related parties, as well as providing advice on tax implications of deals.

Our team helps our clients improve their tax function to control risk and facilitate better decision making. You’ll focus on helping businesses with tax strategy, ensuring tax compliance, increasing post tax profits, and providing application support to achieve the best corporate tax practices.

A career within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients with various tax and business advisory, restructuring and tax assignments, including assisting clients when they set up, expand their operations and also M&As. The scope of this role will include working with the various Government agencies, applying for incentives, group structure planning and also managing their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties.

  • As a key team player, you’ll act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, tax affairs, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our clients are wide ranging: from listed companies and global organisations, to budding entrepreneurs, high-net worth individuals, non-profits, charitable organisations and family businesses.

Our team helps our clients set up, restructure, identify and reduce tax risks, meet compliance obligations, implement tax strategies that complement business and operational objectives, resolve disagreements with tax authorities, and manage tax accounting and reporting issues. You’ll be engaged in projects dealing with International tax, mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.

Responsibilities

As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. You are expected to give your point of views, ideas and contribute to the success of the team. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist the team in various aspects of the project (including management of projects);
  • Prepare draft deliverables (inputting your ideas, creativity and POVs);
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen;
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues;
  • Ensure you are adhering to compliance matters.
  • We are looking for someone who is energetic, has great communication and interpersonal skills in dealing with people. We need you to bring your own strengths, deliver ideas and suggestions to resolve issues.

Requirements

  • Degree in any discipline and/or a professional accounting qualification such as the ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA-CAANZ / CPA Australia
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess good leadership skills and demonstrate resilience
  • Able to demonstrate ability to interact with people of different backgrounds and build meaningful relationships
  • Able to demonstrate analytical thinking and business acumen
