We have an opening for a trainee accountant to join our team in Singapore. The candidate will be ambitious, highly motivated and seeking to fully recognise their potential. Successful candidates will be enrolled with the ACCA and will complete the ACCA qualification.

The role will provide the successful candidate with exposure to the firm's various service lines to the investment funds industry such as financial reporting, audit, assurance, liquidations, and specialist taxation services.

The candidate's responsibilities will include preparation and review of financial statements for investment funds while also gaining audit experience and other opportunities across the firm's service lines.

Our trainees are an essential part of the team and the successful candidate will report directly to management.

Duties and responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements for investment funds, primarily under IFRS and US GAAP;
• Operate as a contact point for clients; able to respond to and resolve queries or escalate where necessary;
• Act as liaison with various internal /external parties;
• Assisting management on financial reporting, audit, taxation and assurance projects;
• Researching technical queries on IFRS and other accounting standards;

Requirements for the role

• Commitment to achieving the ACCA qualification (3-4 year timescale to complete)
• Sustained record of academic success including relevant undergraduate degree
• Experience of the asset management industry a distinct advantage
• ACCA part-qualified a distinct advantage
• Excellent team working skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle deadline pressures and flexible approach
• Attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong logic skills with above average results in mathematics a distinct advantage
