KPMG Risk Consulting specialists help organizations to better understand risks related to their operations, assess the risk management system and internal controls in place, and develop effective control systems and measures. We also help clients manage and independently assess financial risks, incl. credit and compliance risks in the area of use of funds, corporate governance, financial fraud investigations, anti-money laundering and countering terrorism and proliferation financing, sanctions compliance and other fields.
Role and responsibilities
- Work on risk and compliance, fraud investigation, financial risk management, AML and other engagements related to various business risk
- Find the best solution for the client by preparing presentations, participating in interviews, carrying out research and writing reports and proposals
- Collaborate with colleagues from Risk Consulting and other departments to provide deep information analysis and integrate findings into deliverables
- Develop expertise and knowledge of a variety of clients and markets, and awareness of KPMG’s services
- Keep up to date with market trends and look for more efficient ways to carry out everyday tasks
- Work with experienced colleagues, enthusiastic team members and collaborate with colleagues from the KPMG Global network

Education and experience
- You have a university degree or are a final year student in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Legal or other relevant field
- You are interested or have experience in risk analysis and management, AML or other areas related to business risks
Technical skills
- You are able to do analytical work with large amounts of data (both qualitative and quantitative), carry out research, economic analysis and write descriptive reports
- You are a proficient IT user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- You are fluent in Latvian and English, both written and verbal, Russian will be considered an advantage
Personal attributes
- You are willing to learn new skills
- You are enthusiastic about working in a project based environment
- You pay attention to details and are able to work within tight deadlines in a demanding and competitive environment
