Junior Associate / Associate in M&A and Corporate Law

Role and responsibilities

• Be eager to learn and develop professional and personal skills
• Assist direct manager with national and international projects in a broad range of M&A Transactions
• Keep up to date with latest changes in corporate law and M&A matter
• Work with and learn from experienced colleagues and cooperate with colleagues from the KPMG Global network
• Assist in pre-acquisition restructuring, legal planning and risk mitigation
• Work with general corporate law matters, as well as with respect to mergers-demergers, acquisitions, legal due diligence and restructurings

Education and Experience

• You have a university degree in law; master in law is an asset
• You have experience of at least 2 years in Corporate/Commercial Law

Technical skills

• You have analytical and logical reasoning skills and master research techniques
• You have strong communication and negotiation skills
• You have good command of MS Tools (Excel, Word, Power point)
• You are fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken
