Company description

We are a firm of accountants based in Milton Keynes. We help our clients build better businesses through our range of growth accounting services. All that we do is centred around what the client is trying to achieve – their vision. Our services all involve a great deal more conversations with our clients, much more than the traditional annual accountant.

Our values of Integrity, Collaboration and Drive underpin everything we do and who we are. They drive how we want to operate and how we help our clients.

The role

You’ll be the external finance function for a portfolio of SME clients.  You’ll be their first point of contact and their financial eyes and ears.  You’ll be responsible for delivering the key financial data and management information that our clients need to succeed.  That means you’ll need to have great communication skills and a desire to understand the clients and what they are trying to achieve.  You’ll need to care about helping them get to where they want to be.

You’ll need to be able to put yourself in the client’s shoes to understand how best to help them build a better business.  You’ll be delivering our growth accounting services to a variety of clients, managing a series of projects and working closely with the partners to deliver workshops and seminars.  You’ll also play a key role in developing others in the team.  We will invest and support you in your continued personal development.

This role would suit a qualified accountant who is looking to expand their career and skills in areas such as business advisory, business development and people development.  This role provides excellent opportunities for career progression.  The partners will actively support you and help develop the skills you’ll need to progress.

The skills you will need

You’ll need to be highly organised.

You’ll need to have excellent communication skills, to be clear and confident with your colleagues and with your client, backed up by a track record of building client relationships.

You’ll need to have a desire to want to help clients; to see the bigger picture, what that means for our clients, and how to put it all into action.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience working for professional firms of accountants
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, AAT or CIMA)
  • Experienced in building and managing client relationships
  • Proficient in use of cloud accounting software and support apps
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word

Job type: Permanent, Full time
Remote working is available (after probation period)
Plus benefits package

You’ll work closely with all members of the team which will give you a great opportunity to broaden your skills and develop.  Your development is important to us and together we will be focused on taking your career to the next level.

We want to work with people who share our values of respect, integrity, and accountability. These values underpin everything we do for our team and our clients. Our work with clients is important and focused but we make sure we have fun doing it.

What next?

If you want to take your career to the next level, then we’d love to hear from you.

So, send us your CV and a covering note to explain why you would be a good fit for us and we’ll go from there.
