Company description
We are a firm of accountants based in Milton Keynes. We help our clients build better businesses through our range of growth accounting services. All that we do is centred around what the client is trying to achieve – their vision. Our services all involve a great deal more conversations with our clients, much more than the traditional annual accountant.
Our values of Integrity, Collaboration and Drive underpin everything we do and who we are. They drive how we want to operate and how we help our clients.
The role
This is a key role in the business focused on working with the wider team to help build the core numbers for our clients. It is a great way to develop your understanding of Finance foundations across a range of clients, and to build your basic accounting and tax knowledge.
The idea being that you progress into being responsible for a portfolio of clients where you will help look after your clients bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT, year-end accounts, corporation tax, payroll and personal tax. You’ll become their financial eyes and ears.
That means you’ll need to have a desire to understand the clients and what they are trying to achieve. You will also want to build your professional experience and exposure, including communication and organisation skills.
The skills you will need
You’ll be excited to start your career in accountancy and be open to the opportunities you will be presented with.
You’ll need to be highly organised.
You’ll need to have strong communication skills, to be clear and confident with your colleagues and with your clients.
You’ll need to invest in your own development because we will too. We’ll support you through all your training.
You’ll need to have a desire to want to help clients, to see the bigger picture, what that means for them, and how to put it all into action.
Key Requirements
- 5 or more GCSEs grade 5 or above (to include English and Maths)
- Desire to work towards a qualification (ACA, ACCA or AAT)
- Experience in using Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Word
Job type: Permanent, Full time
Remote working is available (after probation period)
Plus benefits package
You’ll work closely with all members of the team which will give you a great opportunity to broaden your skills and develop. Your development is important to us and together we will be focused on taking your career to the next level.
We want to work with people with the same values of integrity, collaboration and drive. These values underpin everything we do for our team and our clients. Our work with clients is important and focused but we make sure we have fun doing it.
What next?
If you want to kick start your career in accountancy then we’d love to hear from you.
So, send us your CV and a covering note to explain why you would be a good fit for us and we’ll go from there.
