Entry level role responsible for managing and maintaining all Northern Trust’s exchange relationships, including processing contracts, ongoing communications with exchanges, and reconciliation of exchange invoices. Influences and drives improvements of global policies, programs and processes.

Duties:

  • Implementing sourcing strategy for exchanges
  • Working with the Market Data Contract Administrator to utilize FITS (Financial Information Tracking Systems) database to track all exchange agreements, schedules, exhibits, price points, products and services
  • Exhibit A completion and management
  • Producing monthly, quarterly and annual internal and external reports in addition to declarations as required by exchanges and/or vendors
  • Following all market data compliance and reporting objectives for exchanges and vendors
  • Producing regular scheduled and ad-hoc inventory and cost reporting to all levels of management as requested
  • Participating in all market data exchange audits
  • Maintaining relationships with key NT partners, educating on policy/guidelines and resolving related issues on exchange compliance
  • Visiting vendor customer desktop and exchange portals, i.e. Bloomberg portal & TR customer center, etc. for notifications on price changes to add into FITS and notify contracted partners for budget increases and gain proper approval
  • Interacting with business to formulate and implement strategy and solutions to enhance existing service offered or improve processes in effectively updating internal use of data
  • Collaborating with Access Compliance team managing the Market Data inventory ensuring its on-going accuracy
  • Ensuring the exchange Product Catalog defined in FITS reflects the current pricing and structure
  • Maintaining market data product database containing key data items and functionality Commercial and demand management activities
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related business school equivalent or tenure
  • 0 – 24 months of financial services industry
  • Zero to 2 years of experience in the financial services industry
  • Familiarity with various global exchanges and market data products preferred
  • Experience in exchange and vendor administration applications preferred
  • Prior experience working in fast-pace, high demand environment
  • Exhibits strong time management skills and sets priorities
  • Capacity to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills required
  • Knowledge of FITS inventory system or similar and market data access control systems preferred
