About the role

This role will be under the Central Operations Finance Function and based in our shared services - KGBS in KL or Johor Bahru. The role reports to the Operations Finance Director APMEA.

The key function of the role is leading performance management within the region for all countries and plants on KPI Targets Setting, Performance Analysis, Budgeting & Forecasting, and other Operation Efficiency improvement projects and to support the business operations in providing trend analysis and benchmarking to identify areas for opportunities within and outside the regions.

Key responsibilities

  • To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative methodology for the KPI reporting.
  • To compile and analyse monthly operations performance against key business metrics and provide comprehensive information for management review and decision making.
  • To coordinate with plants’ finance to ensure monthly key performance indicators are calculated and presented in consistent and accurate manner.
  • To prepare, manage and review plant performance results presented to the management.
  • To lead continuous improvement projects for the region.
  • To responsible for the projection and budget operation results.
  • To perform other ad-hoc duties that might be assign from time to time.

Qualifications and skills

  • Degree or professional certificate in Accountancy / Finance.
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required; familiarity with data query/data management tools extremely helpful (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, SQL, Business Objects).
  • Knowledge of ERP, ideally SAP and SAP BW reporting, and related data analysis tools are an added advantage.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with different areas to guarantee performance improvement of the plants.
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, presentation capabilities and decision-making skills.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise.
