Technology Business Analyst / Project Manager

The IT Business Senior Analyst is an intermediate-level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

This position is responsible for business analysis & project management investments products and O&T programs for Private Bank Asia. The incumbent is required to engage and work with various global and regional businesses, operations and internal / external technology partners to deliver against objectives.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Responsible for business analysis, user coordination and implementation of business initiatives for Citi Private Bank Asia
• Responsible for reviewing the end-to-end process flows, identify opportunities for automation, translate into business requirements and follow through till implementation.
• Collaborates with regional and global operations, technology development team, compliance to meet business and regulatory requirements in various jurisdictions in Singapore and Hong Kong.
• Assist in creating business requirement documents and formulate technology solutions in response to business requirements.
• Assist in performing testing through different phases of project implementations, provide training to Business users, provide SME support

Project Management

• Responsible for end-to-end execution and program delivery of Investment O&T projects for Citi Private Bank Asia
• Release coordination
• Partner with sponsors / stakeholders and manage the technology delivery from project conception through implementation.
• Lead and manage full project life cycle according to established processes (including initiation, planning, integration of multiple workstreams, execution and implementation).
• Collaborate and partner closely with global & regional program managers, development leads, test leads and production support teams for end-to-end program delivery
• Collaborate with technology partners for technology solutions, project planning & testing management to ensure quality delivery of software solution to the business
• Responsible for identifying / managing project issues / risks and escalations. Deliver effective communication and report on initiatives to various levels including executive management and senior leadership.
• Responsible for project tracking, governance and control of progress / schedules and financials against established baselines.

Qualification

• A graduate with 10+ Business Analysis experience in a large, multi-national organization or an entity with similar global reach and complexity.
• Proven project management skills would be an added advantage
• Knowledge in investment products in the space of Equities/FX/Rate/Credit or structured products will be advantageous
• Prior experience in delivering operations programs (back-office processing, settlement)
• Demonstrate ability in managing O&T programs across business / functional / regional teams within a matrix environment.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze complex problems, propose workable solutions and implement corrective actions in all situations.
• Demonstrate ability in managing O&T programs across business / functional / regional teams within a matrix environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills - demonstrate ability and proven track record in building partnerships and collaborative relationships at various levels within the organization, people and relationship management.
• Able to influence effectively; gain support for new ideas and approaches across multiple stakeholders with varying agendas and shifting priorities
• Excellent negotiation skills, ability to influence outcomes without direct managerial responsibility.
• Demonstrate experience and strength in operating effectively within the organization, including stakeholder management to deliver the objectives
• Self-motivated and directed, proactive and action-oriented, must demonstrate personal accountability. Able to work independently and as a team player.
• Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills; strong oral and written communication skills including presentation development and delivery.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and demanding environment is essential
• Structured Products and Exotic product experience would be advantageous but not mandatory
