The Role Responsibilities


The Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISRO) organisation is instrumental in protecting and ensuring the resilience of Standard Chartered Bank's data and IT systems by managing information and cyber security (ICS) risk across the enterprise. As a critical function reporting into the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the Group CISRO team serves as the second line of defence for assuring ICS controls are implemented effectively, in accordance with the ICS Risk Framework, and for instilling a culture of cyber security within the Bank. The Group CISRO is central to ensuring the Bank's ability to meet its ICS commitments to internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, as well as maintaining an acceptable ICS risk profile that is regularly reported to the Board.

The CISRO Assurance & Testing team reports directly to the CISRO and deputises on all Assurance related matters for them. The team work very closely and collaboratively with, but also constructively challenging where necessary, the First Line of Defence ICS teams and key business stakeholders to reduce overall ICS risk.


Work with the CISRO Assurance team to support:
  • ICS Assurance reviews,
  • ICS control testing
  • Validaiton and closure of issue remediation

People and Talent
  • Active participation in assurance, control testing and issue validation
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting and documenting work done to the requisite standards

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Graduated or graduating in calendar year 2019 or 2020 from universities, polytechnics
  • Detail oriented and capable of delivering high level of accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and consultative skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • A bachelor's degree
