In this journey we are seeking to hire a Manager in the Accounting Consulting Services.  

 

The opportunity

The Accounting Consulting Services team is a team of specialists within the Assurance practice. The team provides distinctive services to companies in connection with accounting support for a range of M&A, divestiture and other transactions, IFRS/Greek GAAP conversion and solutions to complex financial reporting and accounting issues.

 

As a Senior Associate in Accounting Consulting Services you will have the chance to contribute and influence assurance engagement teams and clients by:

  • Providing technical accounting advice and support on complex accounting and financial reporting issues including topics such as revenue recognition, impairment of goodwill, financial instruments and business combinations.
  • Providing services to support compliance with evolving financial reporting requirements.
  • Cooperating with other PwC service lines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Contributing to projects as a topic / subject matter accounting specialist.
  • Advice clients on the implementation of new accounting standards (IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16 and IFRS 17).
  • Carry out and support business development activities to create new opportunities.
  • Coordinating project teams, developing people through effectively coaching and mentoring more junior staff and building team spirit.

 

The successful candidates should have:

  • Three (3) or more years of relevant professional experience.
  • University degree in Accounting & Finance, Business Administration and/or related disciplines. Hold a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, IESOEL).
  • Technical expertise or practical experience in the application of IFRS.
  • Ability to understand complex accounting transactions and commercial/ business drivers.
  • Ability to develop solutions or solve problems for the client.
  • Assertive, flexible, proactive, and self-motivated with a desire for learning.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to build trust within teams.
