In a Nutshell
This role is responsible for proactively partnering with the Integrated Futures Transformation programme teams. The role will play a key part in the delivery of the Transformation programmes, focusing on product hierarchy and stock valuation, identifying benefits and ensuring that all Finance interdependencies are mapped and managed according the to the governance framework. In addition, the role will sit as a permanent member of the Finance Product Council ensuring effective and efficient spend of capex budget. The role will also be a key part of the Finance Transformation Management team.

What you need to do
  • Act as key partner for the Integrated Futures Transformation programme
  • Understand that the outcomes of each project will benefit the Finance community as a whole and communicate relentlessly to share progress and manage expectations
  • Be clear on specific deadlines and sequencing and manage business partners, stakeholders and leadership to deliver on-time
  • Be the Finance voice in the room to ensure all financial matters and views are represented and where needed, pass on the information to the relevant part of the Finance division
  • Effectively communicate progress into the Workstream lead and PMO and clearly escalate issues for resolution
  • Ensure all programme documentation is completed diligently and thoroughly to enable complete transparency at programme level and efficient onward reporting to SteerCo
  • With your team, support the business in identifying risks and opportunities. Take the lead in prioritising these and work with the business to manage them
  • Lead the team to provide the business with an external perspective, defining the benchmark requirements and using outputs to challenge and influence
  • Provide leadership both with your team and across Finance in your location, driving the re-set required in line with the operating model
  • Work with Tech & our data team (ADA) to ensure analytical resource is used effectively and business priorities and resource allocation are well understood and aligned
  • Align with Tech Finance and Tech PMO on any financial matters going in to Product Council
  • Responsible for the on-going identification of benefits by project

What you need to know and show
  • Professional Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
  • An inspiring leader, supporting colleagues to build successful careers
  • Effective communicator and challenger with stakeholders up to and including board level, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen
  • Proven track record of managing commercial relationships and influencing senior decision makers
  • Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously
  • Proven history of effective prioritisation and ability to push back when appropriate
  • Committed to driving change and comfortable with managing any associated conflicts
